Since I started my family, newborn and maternity photography journey I realise it's not in the least bit intimidating, in fact.....it's a very relaxed and fun experience, and absolutely nothing to worry about.
The first step is getting a date booked in, once we have agreed a date I can give you location suggestions, or I am happy to go with any ideas on location you may have. I will email you over ''what to expect' fact sheet, which includes tips and suggestions on what you can wear. And of course you can ask me any questions along the way.
I will check the weather a day or two before the shoot, at this point the final meet time will be arranged and if it is scheduled to rain, we can rebook. Same if anyone in your family is unwell, we will simply reschedule.
The day of the shoot.....I always get to the location early so that I can have a quick walk around and check out the light, location and pick my favourite spots. Once we get started, I will get you and your family into the best light and you will notice that I will direct you. You won't have the chance to feel awkward or posed as I move fast to get all the images needed.
Leave everything to me and relax. I am used to all ages from babies up to teenagers. I am relaxed and to be honest, I am in my element when I am photographing families, I could stay with you all day, I LOVE this job, and it shows in my images.
So please don't let any of your doubts or concerns put you off getting your family pictures. These images are so important and something that you will treasure forever. You will never regret getting your family photos, but you may very well regret not getting them.
